Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ MIXMASTERCASH.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
It’s an honor to be here, thank you for this opportunity. I started DJing back in 1999, with two Gemini turntables set up on an ironing board, a Radio Shack microphone, all connected to my mom’s house stereo speakers, (yes the speakers with the thin wire) at a house party in Gardena. Now, I’m DJing big weddings, spinning live on the internet, mixing on radio shows, doing Hollywood clubs, traveling all over California. I turned my DJ dreams into Reality! Looking back at where I’ve come from to where I am now, I am proud of myself, for being resilient and dedicated to my goals. I still have so much more to accomplish as a DJ.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Any successful person will tell you it doesn’t come easy. I’ve dealt with the challenge of being told, I was never going to make it as a DJ, especially in Los Angeles. Peers would tell I’d never learn how to use this equipment. I didn’t let any of that stop me, from moving forward as a professional DJ. When my grandma and mom passed away the same year, and we lost our house, it was a perfect time to quit, but I didn’t. I started to DJ even more, to take my mind off the pain, I was dealing with, losing two of the most beautiful and powerful women I’ve ever met. I believe they sent me divine strength.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I’m a REAL DJ! Reliable, Energetic, Authentic, Loyal, that’s me. Providing excellent customer service is what separates REAL DJs Only Entertainment from other DJs.
I make moments that are priceless, by giving 139% every event. I DJ as if it were my last performance. I refuse to be a DJ, that press play and walks away. I want you to feel my passion and love for the art.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My advice to readers is this, imagine big, don’t limit yourself. Anything is possible, history has proven that. You can be whomever you want to be in this life if you truly desire and work towards it daily. It’s not about being perfect but embracing the process and enjoying the journey. I love what I do and do what I love, so should you.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
The world is a big blank canvas, you can paint any pictures your mind can conceive. It’s whatever I want to perceive it to be. If I say it’s good, then I’m right, if I say it’s bad, then I’m right. It’s all about my perception and what I focus on in the world. I can’t control nothing in this world, but my attitude and my actions.
What’s next for you?
Next up for me is more community events, weddings, and festivals. I plan on producing music of my own and collaborating with other brands. I want to expand my business and go international. The sky is the limit right?
