Today we’d like to introduce you to Freddie L Floyd Jr.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Thank you for speaking with me today. I came from a military background where I followed in my Fathers steps joining the Army at a young age and just like most young people that joined early I figured to make a career of it, but God had other plans for my life. I meet a lot of good people in the military, Somehow I would always gravitate to men and women of God. I guess that has always been my comfort zone although I have never been a saint. most people never knew that I was just an inch away from being homeless due to my own careless choices. For me, I can say thank God for family. I was able to move in with my older brother and his family and from there I return my attention back to God. There I was able to find myself. I became more in tune with the word of God so to speak and as I begin listening to God and acting on his word things slowly begin to change for me. Let me tell you how God moves. A young lady that I know had a job in place and she gave me the contact information for this recruiter. long story short out of nowhere he chose me for the job and everything in my life changed for the better. God is so merciful.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Oh God knows it hasn’t been, I have had some trying times. I always like to tell people that we are where we are based on the decision we made or didn’t make. I really believe that. You in society we often like to give the devil way more credit than he deserves. so much more of our issues are a product of our choices and I am not different. once challenge that I had to overcome was the spirit of arrogance. Like most people when your down and out you are very humble, however when you get back on your feet people often feel as if they arrived all by themselves never giving God credit for pulling up from the depths of poverty. That’s why I acknowledge God in all things because I know who allowed me to be where I am today. Make no mistakes about it just because God is in my life don’t think for one sec, I won’t have any problems. Scripture says for he maketh. his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. so its all about how you deal with your situation. And I choose to keep God first always
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
believe it or not, I am a contractor working for the Government in Iraq. I specialize in Logistics management however I spend the majority of my time writing and reading or listening to things that uplift my spirits. I pray that people see me as a genuine authentic person and understand that my intention is always good. I am always about being fair to others.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Find something that you are good at and enjoy. once you find that go all out on your quest to do that one thing or it can be multiple things. find your gift and that gift is the things you can do the best with the smallest amount of effect. And scripture says your gift will make room for you and brings you before great men. You have to find your gift. That is where you will find the most success. Its not about the money you make its the enjoyment you get out of it.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
well, success comes in many different forms and you can’t place any one thing on it. a for instance. If you come from a bad background and you made it alive that’s a success. so is graduating high school, college, whatever I cant place success on any one thing. Now i do belive there are levels to success
What’s next for you?
Well God has allowed me to to publish two successful books. The first one was you are designed to be successful which was released last year around this time, and the second follow up with a #1 release for new releases which is doing very well as we speak Titled Gods Gift (Woman) . so I am proud of that. I am currently working on a third publication and I am hoping that will get released next year in Dec that’s the goal.
