Meet Published Fashion Designer – Miss Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miss Hollywood.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you so much – it’s absolutely my pleasure to be here speaking with you today. I appreciate you wanting to know more about my background. My fashion dream began at Murrah High School when I decided to apply to, and was ultimately accepted, for dual enrollment at the Career Development Center for Design and Merchandising for Fashion and Interiors in Jackson, Mississippi.

From there, I moved to Biloxi after high school where I opened my first brick and mortar boutique shop under the brand name Hollywood’s Boutique. While simultaneously running my store front and women’s clothing e- commerce store, I obtained a Master’s degree in Business.

Being selected to showcase my work at the 2022 New York Fashion Week – was honestly one of the most impactful experiences of my life! It was amazing on so many levels. After the show, my designs were featured in Harper’s Bazaar España, Elle Italia, Elle España, Maria Claire Madison Italia, Fashion Week Online, Madame Figaro, Runway Magazine, and Weekly Style Magazine, just to name a few.

It’s been a wild ride to say the least!

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I think the biggest thing for me is the fact that the world of fashion is fiercely competitive. Whether you own a retail store or have aspirations to get to New York Fashion Week and, ultimately, Paris Fashion Week – it’s a tough road. There’s always a lot of pressure to be the best, to have the best designs, to reach new levels of innovation, and also know what consumers would want to purchase.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

My speciality has to be feminine, figure-flattering, and elegant high-end fashion. I always want women to feel like goddesses and like they can take on the world. I believe couture is the ultimate way for women to feel this way and I want nothing more than to be the next big name in couture. You should work with me over the competition because I have a vision like no other and my work shows that.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I encourage any up-and-coming fashion designer to follow their heart and passion for fashion. Do everything to your best ability. Procrastination is the ultimate dream killer, so stay consistent, true to yourself, and stick to your goals and vision.

As I’ve already mentioned, the fashion world consists of highly skilled unprecedented competitiveness of fast fashion brands and established designers. You will be discouraged and the road will get tough but you would never know what you could have become, if you give up. Perseverance, hard work and dedication is the key for your success in the fashion industry.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Ultimately, I believe that success is when you are meeting goals that take you one step further to your dream – no matter how big or small. Sometimes all we can do is take baby steps in a certain direction, and sometimes we will have to fall back a few, but so long as you are pushing forward, I think anything is possible.

What’s next for you?

Well, I hope you’re sitting down because I’m going to Paris! Even though I’m still relatively new in the world of fashion, I’ve been given the opportunity to take my designs to Paris Fashion Week in 2024. I can’t even begin to tell you how much this means to me – it feels like I’m in a dream most days, but this is what can happen when failure is not an option.

I also have plans to create a bridal collection that will include pieces for the modest woman, as well as a custom sunglass collection that I will directly design myself. It’s all so very exciting!

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.
