Today we’d like to introduce you to Jakeb Livengood.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2017 I dropped out of college (from a full-ride honors scholarship) to pursue my dream of being a world class entrepreneur. I moved into my parents basement and launched my first business: an e-commerce venture on the back of Amazon while simultaneously documenting my journey. Over the course of 3 years I scaled that business to half a million in revenue at which point I was recognized as an elite artist & entrepreneur by the Founder of a Flowarts based tech company: I was brought onto the team and I’ve been scaling every since!
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
My journey has been rife will ridicule and scrutiny from many people: family, close friends, and even business partners. Along the journey individuals true intentions are made clear by their actions and words. Surely it’s easy to look at a college dropout living in their parents basement talking about how they’re going to make millions of dollars on social media as a joke and laugh at their expense but: sometimes- things aren’t always what they seem. This is one of the hurdles I’ve faced and overcame in my process.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialize in onboarding established Web-2 Influencers, Creators, & DJs into Web-3 and the Metaverse ecosystems. My team and I (@Throwlights) are all passionate high level Flow Artists pioneering Flowarts in the Metaverse with the intention of making Flowarts a globally recognized E-Sport!
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
This sounds cliché but… NEVER give up! You may not always know exactly how you’re going to get there but if you know where you’re going and you stay consistent you will accomplish everything you set your mind to.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
As my mentor Bob Proctor always said (quoting Earl Nightingale): “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal… so: if you know where you are, you know where you’re going, and you’re progressively moving in that direction then you are successful”. Given that you have an aim and you take proactive steps to move in that direction on a consistent basis you are the definition of success in whatever avenue it is that you choose to pursue!
What’s next for you?
I intend to continue scaling my vision and initiatives while making those around me more effective leaders themselves! I always say “Abundance is Abundant” – I believe everyone can win as long as they set a path for themselves! I’ve made it a large part of my macro to ensure that I can leave a positive impact on everyone that I touch- I have seen many of my students amass themselves multiple 6-figure audiences across a variety of social platforms and it fills me with so much gratitude! It’s truly remarkable what the human mind can achieve when you put your mind towards attaining something.
