Exclusive Interview With Nely Guzman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nely Guzman.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I am a Mexican immigrant, my parents migrated to the United States when I was 9 yrs old.

I am currently 31 yrs old living in Atlanta, Ga, I’m married with 3 children. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed about being an actress, a singer or a model, but as I got older those dreams came to an end, specially when I got married, since I got married young and had my kids young, I thought that was it for me. At one point of my life I though I was just going to be a “housewife”, nothing else. It was a beautiful thing being a mom and a wife, but I’m not going to lie, it also had its dark side, for me it was a little depressing thinking everything I had once dreamed to be was not going to happen for me. Until one day I decided, why not ? Why can’t I be a mom, a housewife but also do me. So I started taking acting classes and that’s where it all started. I worked on a few projects here and there as an actress, even a national Disney commercial. After that, I got offered an opportunity to be part of a morning TV show, so then I became a TV host which I love, and that’s what I am currently doing now, working as a digital tv host for Pulso Atl. I also launched my fitness apparel line, Strong Fitness Apparel.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

It’s being challenging being a mom, wife and also tv host and now entrepreneur for sure because being a mom demands so much time from me, specially since my kids are very active, they play soccer so we are on the go every time, but I think I’ve been able to manage it well.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m very professional, fun and outgoing, one of the things I enjoy the most is being able to cover soccer in our city, since I love soccer being part of the Media that covers Atlanta United it’s been a blessing.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

It’s never too late to be what you want to be.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me means being able to do what you love.

What’s next for you?

I’m currently working on my fitness apparel line, I want to make it a big brand so that’s where I’m mostly focusing right now, but I also want to restart with my acting career and I also want to do something with music !

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

Follow me on social media @NelyGuzman and also follow my fitness apparel line @StrongFitnessApparel
