Why Is Cisalo Someone To Keep An Eye On?

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cisalo Harris.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you for having me. Man, crazy story. Let’s just put it this way, my entire life was always in a perpetual state of flux, music was the only constant. My mother, Yah rest her soul, had beat her crack addiction. My pops at the time was selling it. But they always threw the best parties, legendary parties. As a kid I got to see all the different type of people that would come over, white, black, rich, poor etc. Didn’t matter, they all had crack in common. However the music! The music flowed thru the house almost continually.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Self first and foremost. You know how to disable you quicker than any enemy, you are your biggest critic, your biggest distraction. I read from the apostle Paul, he talks a lot about to death to self and how he does it daily. Outside of self family, well relatives really, were the 2nd biggest challenge to overcome. And then environment and peers.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

(Laughs) I’ll be honest, when it comes to music I’m not sure if there is much I don’t do. I started out playing instruments, then went on to digital synthesis at the age of 12. By 14 I was recording myself and everyone in the neighborhood. But why should someone work with me vs. the competition? Well, simply put, because there is no competition. The sound that I have “niche’d” out sounds like nothing on the radio. Every artists speaks on how different their work sounds only to find out they sound like someone. Just go take a listen!

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Just know that as soon as you appear to have it, you don’t actually have to have it, people are going to change around you. Not all for the bad, but even the good changes you see in people may not be genuine. It’s all according to the allusion of the level of success they think you have. It’s funny because people with their mouths will downplay your success all while in their minds make your success bigger than what it is. Always warped, seldom accurate.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

It’s when you can look at your work, endeavors, sweat, equity and say I have completed A, B, and C. You need to first define what your success should and will be, otherwise someone else will determine that for you. I know without a shadow of a doubt I’m successful because I’ve checked off most of what was on my list and as a result got to do and see things that I never imagined.

What’s next for you?

Breaking more barriers, creating opportunity within my circle of music. I’m fostering a new producer by the name of Tache On The Beat, she’ll be under my Cisalo Productions umbrella. More studio builds, My brother Todd Uno & I are about to take our streaming channel Makse to the next level.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

Of course, you can find me on ig at @cisalomusic, facebook at cisalomusic, www.cisalomusic.com or cisalomusic@gmail.com. Lastly, youtube cisalo music for my latest videos.
