Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse Kitoko.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Good afternoon. It’s an honor and privilege to speak to you today. My name is Jesse Kitoko, and a young Congolese entrepreneur and Amazon FBA Seller. I moved to the US when I was 14 years old. All I had in mind was the American Dream. I always told my parents that I would make something of myself, and that I am going to become a millionaire one day. Moving to the US at such a young age was very challenging in different aspects such as learning a new language from scratch, being far from my parents, being a role model to my little one who was 12 years old at that time, and lastly being at the boarding school. At such a young age, I always pushed myself to excel in everything that I did such as sports, academics, and art. This urge for success has not only been fueled by the type of person I am but also by the many sacrifices that my parents made to give me the life that I want. During the pandemic, I realized that e-commerce, especially Amazon, had an impact on our everyday life. It is at that point that I decided that I wanted to be part of the big Amazon family. I got the opportunity to work at Amazon not only as an Ops Manager but also an independent FBA Seller.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
It is true when we say success does not come easily. One of my biggest challenges to overcome was the passing of my mother. It did not only affect me emotionally but also academically and financially. I didn’t want to do anything anymore. I had lost my source of happiness. However, at that point, I had to ask myself what would my mother ask me to do right now. That challenge turned into a fuel to my success. I wake up every morning telling mom from heaven that I will make her proud and that dream of me becoming a millionaire will soon be true.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I sell products at Amazon and soon I will be offering courses on how to launch a successful product on Amazon. I believe that someone should work with me over the competition because I have studied the world of Amazon from the inside & outside, and my techniques have shown tremendous rewards.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
I always gave all credits of my success to God. Everything that you think you see in me, everything that I have accomplished, everything that you think I have and I have a few things. Everything that I have is by the grace of God. So If I have to give one piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life is to put God first in everything that you do.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
For me, success means to do what you love every day. Every day I get to work toward my dream. As long as I keep moving in the right path, I feel successful.
What’s next for you?
What’s next for me is to keep growing and becoming the best version myself. I am laughing my fragrance line in the upcoming months. It is something that I am really forward to so stay tuned.
