Entrepreneur Virginia Humphries Is Inspiring The Masses With Her Powerful Story Of Making Millions
Today we’d like to introduce you to Virginia Humphries.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been a full time entrepreneur since 2017. I’ve always had a passion for real estate and providing housing for those that were transitioning from being homeless. In my community there were so many people who were not able to find housing due to them having a criminal past and poor credit so I knew I needed to be apart of that change. Once I began to acquire my own rental properties I catered to those individuals that needed a second chance to find their place in society. Naturally credit repair was a service they needed as well. After starting Virginia Humphries Real Estate LLC I started a credit counseling service Virginia Humphries Credit Counseling LLC. Since then I’ve been able to help thousands of people in all states gain excellent credit and teach them how to have better spending habits. Unfortunately I never learned in school how important credit would be when I got older until I actually needed to utilize it. Now I have made millions of dollars just by simply doing what I absolutely love. I’ve expanded my business to oversea operations and I teach other entrepreneurs how to do this as well.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The challenges I’ve had to overcome was first being an African American and second being a woman, the odds have always been against me because so many people expect you to fail. This road has never been easy but with faith, determination, and support I was able to overcome any obstacles that were in my way. I grew up in a household that encouraged us to either go to college and get a degree or become a laborer. Both of my parents were electricians and wanted me to join their union but I always knew that it wouldn’t be a good fit for me. No one ever educated me on entrepreneurship, it came naturally for me. I knew early on that working for someone was not for me, a set income was not the direction I wanted to go in life. I always knew I wanted to be in full control of what I made and how I made it. I was set on living my life under my own terms.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialize in housing and financial literacy. I buy houses in the greater Pittsburgh Pa area and convert them into to rooming houses. I also specialize in repairing consumers credit reports. As of 2019 I started an online school called V University where I teach other entrepreneurs like myself how to start their own business. When I started out I never had anyone to teach me step by step how to start a business or give me ideas on the types of businesses I should start so I wanted to create courses that did just that.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
When you expect something you do not want you attract the undesirable and when you desire a thing that is not expected you simply dissipate valuable mental force. There will be people that will tell you your ideas will never work and those are the people you don’t speak to about your ideas. There will be people that don’t support you but don’t let that discourage you because this is your journey not theirs. Let your work ethic do the talking for you. If your dreams don’t scare you then it’s not big enough! Stay on course and limit your distractions because if I can do it so can you. Now in no way will everything be easy but it will always be worth it.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means to me reaching a point in your life where you have freedom. That could be financial freedom it could be time freedom it could be freedom to live on your own terms.
What’s next for you?
What’s next for me is helping other entrepreneurs achieve the success that I have been able to achieve. In school they don’t teach us how to run a business they only teach us how to work for one. I want to be that person that can help elevate others to a level they never thought was possible. I plan to mentor as many people as I can so that we all can create generational wealth.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
