Why Janie Seltzer and Kathy A. Souza Believe Entrepreneurs Need SoulCARE Too

Entrepreneurship is often celebrated for its freedom, creativity, and potential for impact. Yet behind the polished success stories, many business owners quietly struggle with exhaustion, loneliness, and a growing disconnect from themselves. For Janie Seltzer and Kathy A. Souza, that emotional and spiritual gap became impossible to ignore. Through the Women’s Center for SoulCARE, the pair is building a Christ-centered community designed to help women strengthen not only their businesses, but also the inner foundation supporting them.

Their mission emerged from an increasingly familiar reality: many entrepreneurs are succeeding professionally while neglecting their own emotional and spiritual well being.

For Janie and Kathy, sustainable success starts from within.

From Personal Calling to Shared Mission

Long before the Women’s Center for SoulCARE officially launched, the idea had quietly taken shape in Janie’s life.

After returning to school in her late fifties to pursue a Master’s Degree in Theology, her final thesis focused on building a Women’s Center dedicated to SoulCARE and spiritual development. Yet like many meaningful ideas, the timing was not immediately right.

Life, responsibilities, and previous business commitments delayed the vision.

Then an unexpected connection changed everything.

Years ago, Kathy entered Janie’s world as an Airbnb guest. Over time, friendship developed, eventually evolving into a business partnership built on complementary strengths. Kathy, a successful entrepreneur with a background in real estate, encouraged Janie to revisit the dream she had long placed in the background.

Together, they discovered a powerful dynamic.

Janie became the spiritual teacher, counselor, and wisdom leader. Kathy brought operational expertise, systems, visibility, and business strategy. Their partnership reflected a shared belief that women flourish most when both practical support and inner care exist together.

A Pivotal Moment That Expanded Their Vision

The defining shift came just a little over a year ago at a networking event.

Initially hesitant to attend, Janie accompanied Kathy and encountered something she immediately recognized: ambitious women working tirelessly to build businesses while quietly neglecting themselves.

“I realized this is a harvest field of women who could use strengthening because they are working so hard and not tending themselves,” Janie recalls.

That realization became a turning point.

Since then, the pair has immersed themselves in women-centered entrepreneurial communities across the country, building relationships and creating spaces where faith, business, and personal healing intersect.

Building a Community of Flourishing Women

Looking ahead, Janie and Kathy are expanding their offerings through elegant faith based retreats, a monthly Sisters of the Heart Collective, and an intimate seven month MASTERmind called the Sacred Path Adventure designed to help women know that they are not lost on the journey as they navigate both business and life.

For the two founders, the mission remains simple but deeply meaningful: when women nourish their souls, they become more grounded, resilient, and empowered in every aspect of life.

In a world that often rewards hustle above all else, Janie and Kathy are offering something different: permission to slow down, reconnect, and flourish.
