Today we’d like to introduce you to Syph Flips.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a Rapper from Queens Ny. Sold out shows and getting on the radio was a big step for me. When I dropped my song “Cheat with me “it changed everything. Then I had a show that was hosted by Dj drewski of Hot 97. Which later impressed Dj Drewski and is how I got “Cheat with me “ on the radio right after.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Alot of trouble in the streets kept Me and my camp held back for a while. Then I came back with a new music video “Resurrection” . The only artist to tattoo my face and perform for the video at the same time !. After that video, I made a lot of connections and continued to deliver music videos such as “Madhouse, Lingo, And Early Deposits”. Then in December of 2020 I dropped my first official album called “Trapped in” with features from alot of artist, Such as Telly Zelly , Soonami, GliZz & Willm0ney. Fish narc is also featured on the album as an artist and producer! We dropped the official video for “Interstate”. This was dropped in a 3d animation pixar style music video. Shortly after we dropped this, alot of record labels were seen copying the same video style. Then I took a flight overseas to an island called “Cyprus“in summer of 2021. That’s where my latest music video “Pillionaire” was shot, with additional scenes from my trip to Los Angeles California. Be sure to be on the lookout for new releases!
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialize in hustle and trap music. I also am good at harmonizing. You can check out a lot of collabs I’ve done with artist to see my versitality. I like to direct my own visuals and concepts. No one going to paint my picture better than me.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Don’t give up when things get hard. Worry about your health and discipline yourself to be able to focus.6 months of focus can change your whole life, and I’m working on that myself right now. But don’t be so worried about the future that you’re not enjoying the present, because things change and people die so enjoy what’s going on now too.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
That word is big to word to me. It means generational wealth and being able to take care of your loved ones. That is when I can consider myself successful.
What’s next for you?
I’m going to be dropping a lot of new music videos and visualizers. I’ve been getting back into the studio and I feel like I got my voice back. I’m more on my raspy gritty Syph wave like back in 2016-2017. I can’t wait to share with my supporters what I been working on, stay tuned.
