R&B Producer Summers Ovver is Winning… His Way

Today we’d like to introduce you to Summers Ovver.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Well my name is Summers Ovver I’m a producer/artist/songwriter in R&B music, I’ve been producing for a little while now, working with artist who I feel fit my sound and style and releasing music as a collab. I’m not a traditional “artist” cause I don’t do anything vocally but the way I build beats it’s like I’m singing or rapping and when I connect with an artist I feel like they need to understand the sound and the vision of each record I make to bring out the best song possible, but every since I was a kid I’ve always had a love for music but especially R&B music, when everyone was listening to DMX and Hov I was listening to 112 & Jagged Edge. I was always just different like that.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Trying to escape the Box that producers get put into, artist sometimes have a hard time accepting the fact that I want to be labeled as an artist when we release songs, Some don’t understand it and I get it, but I chose to break the mold of what a “Producer” should do and push the limits for those who don’t wanna just make beats and sell them but the artist themselves without singing or rapping.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m a music producer/songwriter, I’ve spent countless days and hours perfecting the craft of music production and song creation. I pay attention to every detail and really understand how to bring feeling and emotion to a song that others overlook or don’t know how to do at all.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Understand your stroke of genius, know what you’re good at but focus on what you’re great at, Whatever comes easy for you but hard for others is what you should be chasing.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me is when you accomplish the goals you set for yourself, when your peers and people you don’t know can acknowledge your greatness.

What’s next for you?

Right now I’m working on more music, I’m releasing about 4 Ep’s from now till the end of the year also I have a Podcast/radio show called “Summers Ovver Radio” that we will be pushing forward this year also.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
