Media Coach Jonathan Olivo Says The Best Story Has Yet To Be Told And It Is Possibly Yours!
Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Olivo.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I absolutely love the life I live. I’ve been able to make some incredible memories with my wife Samara and kids: Malachi, Alessandra & Alexa along the years. I love what I get to call work! I travel all around the world and help thought leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, authors and speakers amplify their message through video. My beginnings were some what unique. My father was a traveling evangelist and my mother was a devoted church volunteer. Summers were spent traveling all across the states and Latin America with dad. During the school year going to church with mom was my weekly routine. I soon picked up a camera and fell in love with the ability to marry music and video and create music videos for local artist. I thought I had found my career path and set my sites for Hollywood at the age of 19 to pursue a music video career. There’s a saying ” where you start is not always where you end up”. After being in Hollywood for a couple of years and apart of some cool videos with artist like Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Rick Ross and many more… I found out I actually hated music videos. Then I answered a craigslist ad that changed my life forever. An opportunity to film with Transformational speaker Lisa Nichols. It was at that point my journey began from a un known video guy in Hollywood to a trusted Media Coach.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Losers quit when they fail. Winners fail until they succeed. I’ve had to overcome many challenges on my journey. There is one that sticks out the most. My move to Los Angles with $300 in my pocket, my wife and 2 babies. I had reached a point in life where I was so fed up with not having enough money for rent, food and pampers. Pawning my equipment and augments at home on who we were going to ask for an another loan. I was just fed up with my situation and decided to make my move to Los Angeles. I knew if I could just get plugged in to film industry I might just have a chance. I had planned to go alone and leave my family but my wife told me ” no, we are going with you ” if we have to sleep in the car we are doing this together”.We left San Antonio Texas with just our cloths and $300. I had no other option but to grind like never before to not only reach a dream but take care of a family. I held fear with one hand and courage by the other and jumped all the way in!
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
As a media coach its my passion to support creatives share their story and message through video with strategic and intentional technics. You need to realize its not just a piece of content. Your story, your tips, your motivational speech has potential to change someones mindset and life for the better! You also need to realize the time is now! I have seen way too often that fear of being in front of a camera paralyze someone for days, weeks and even years. Remember version one is better than version none and I want to support you along the whole way. We bring Hollywood level production to you and create in collaboration with you something extraordinary. We call them ” Production Days” and they are very special. Hollywood taught us Camera, Lights, Action! I want to teach you Camera, Lights, Impact! I believe the best story has not been told yet and it could possibly be yours!
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My dad would tell me ” El mundo es chiquito para los que se mueven” translation: “The world is small for those who stay in action”. Massive action is the key to reaching your success. All you have to do is not stay stagnate. Remember small movements forward can create big results, but you have to stay in that GOMODE mentality. Action is the universal language of Success!
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
It is not money, cars or expensive things. Success is living in purpose. It is doing exactly what you were called to do and being in true happiness while doing it. It is lifting people up as you climb. Success is not an accident neither. It is very hard work, perseverance, sacrifice, learning, and massive action.
What’s next for you?
We recently relocated from Los Angles to Austin, Texas and we love it! I’m currently working on some cool projects: Masterminds, Live-events, a Book and my own Online Course titled ” Smile You’re On Camera”. Can’t wait to share it with everyone.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
Would love to support you in any way. You can connect with me via social media @jonathanolivo on all platforms.
