Joshua Maddux Celebrates 15 Years in Business

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Maddux.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I start the business 15 years ago and didn’t realize that this is where we would be today through a lot of hard work and determination we now have a good list of clients and some amazing companies that we get to work with on a regular basis that’s not to say that we haven’t had challenges you know over the years, but I think it’s really a testament to our clients and the companies that we’ve gotten to work with over the years that were still here today.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Challenges in the business have definitely been something that we have faced. As a company we faced all different types of challenges from shifts in the market platforms changing Staffing shifts to everything that you can really think of that any other small business is going to face. However through those challenges we’ve continued to develop a process that allows us to really work with our clients and extract the most information about their business and who they are and utilize that data.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

We’re a full service digital agency however we differ from our competitors really because of our process we don’t have a cookie cutter industry specific niche that we’re looking to focus on. Thus our process must focus on the business owner, the industry and their experience. From there, our processes are really about extracting the information from the business owner and developing content and a marketing strategy that really resonates with their potential customer. And all through that process it’s ensuring that the look, tone, and feel of the content the imagery all of the marketing material reflects our client’s business.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

That’s a loaded question. In reality, someone who’s looking to find success in marketing really needs to focus on who their ideal client is and What problem their ideal client is trying to solve. Once you understand who your ideal client is and what their problem is you can craft the solution or product And if you did your research right you shouldn’t have to sell the product or service. This is where often times marketing gets it wrong if you’re having to Market a service, and it feels like no one’s buying it then typically you didn’t understand the issue the client had, or you didn’t understand the client.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

I think success really is different for different people. For me personally success isn’t about necessarily making a million dollars or having that nice car, it’s more about the freedom to do what I want to do. That might mean taking a day off, not spending time in the office as much or having the ability to work on projects that I find enjoyable. I think far too often we link the word success directly with business or financial gain.

What’s next for you?

For me I’m going to continue running my business, continue to work with business owners and help them market their businesses. I continue to develop content both on our company’s website and also by interviewing other business owners on my podcast.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

For those looking to reach out I can be found on LinkedIn or through my company website http://www.95visual.com

If you are a small to medium business and looking to get a better return on your marketing or better tracking on your marketing reach out and let’s chat.
