It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My entrepreneur journey started at the age of 21 years old, in The Netherlands. I was a therapist for children and a family mediator. I had my own practice back then. During my most precious moment of the day I needed to have an hairstylist who could come to me to fix my hair. But their was no salon who could come to me.
That was the moment I started the Luxury Beauty app, a global marketplace for beauty and well-being delivered to you!
I will rebrand the platform to BYOU in January!
Because the platform is not about luxury and not only about beauty anymore.
Because it is about YOU and luxury is for everyone.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Oh yeah for sure! I bootstrapped everything myself.
When I starting out with BYOU, 4 years ago. It was though…
I needed someone who could develop the platform. The first 2 developers companies, wasn’t a real succes.
Now I’m working with Brainium and I’m so grateful for them!
We went rough the pandemic together as a team.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Because BYOU not only brings you a hairstylist, nail stylist or your favorite products within minutes, but we will be there for you during your most precious times. In partnership with Uber we will bring you your therapist, you can choose yourself, in the comfort and safety of your own home.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
If you truly believe this is worth the fight? Keep goi g and never ever give up.
Time will past anyway. Start with one single step you can do today.
Take a little step each day and eventually you will get there.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means to me that I have helped a lot of people to be happy. That’s all.
