Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Michelle Foye.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a 22-year Corporate Technology veteran whose career spans local companies such as Atlanta Gas Light, SunTrust Banks, CapGemini, Accenture, Cox and healthcare giants such as Morehouse School of Medicine, Piedmont and Grady. I leveraged my corporate knowledge gained over the years to start my own business in Drug Testing and Waived Laboratory Testing. Drug Testing was chosen due to the oldest son’s murder, which was drug and gang violence related.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The road has certainly not been smooth but I haven’t expected it to be. Specifically, some struggles that I have witnessed are the proverbial sexism, racism but challenges also have everything to do with knowledge of common obstacles. Every business will struggle with resources at some point, whether it is financial, human or otherwise.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialize in helping others enter the Transportation & Medical industries by way of Drug Test Centers, Clia Waived Clinical Laboratories and Transportation Administration businesses. I’m the undeniable choice because I’m the first to teach this and to show nearly 700 Entrepreneurs with or without related experience that they can be part of these major industries.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Prayer. Patience. Persistence. Success is not prejudiced but hard work is.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success for me is defined by the impact I have on those I serve and the legacy that I build for my family. I didn’t realize that a 200k/yrly job, luxury car and large home really wasn’t success until I became an Entrepreneur.
