Today we’d like to introduce you to Latoya Campbell.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I got to where I am today because I am a single mother that got tired of being in situations for security. I needed to create my own bag. I needed to be able to take care of my family and not have to be apart of toxic situations in order to secure the finances or live the lifestyle that I was accustomed to. I feel like when friends needed me financially I was able to help rather it be place to live, vehicle, money for bills, or clothes I was able to assist but I never had no one to do the same for me. No love lost I just needed to make sure I never got in that situation again. I have been a licensed esthetician and nail tech for 20 years but have when working in corporate America instead. So when the Body contouring industry started to become back popular I wanted to get back in the game.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
I have been challenged with starting my business during a pandemic. Still working in corporate America as a supervisor and running my business alone. I have been challenged with hiding behind my business because I thought they would support me more. But I realized what’s for you is for you. God will send you your customers and your profits. Building a solid team is one of my challenges I am experiencing right now. I want to be able to do more outside of the business as well as provide more for my clients, I want to free myself up to teach more so that other women have the opportunity of starting their own full service spa.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I currently specialize in wood body contouring. Which is a form of vigorous massage techniques that help reduce fat and the appearance of cellulite. I have serviced over 200 clients in the Nashville area. I also do non invasive body contouring, teeth whitening , teeth bling, manicures and pedicures, facials, detoxification inside and out, yoni steams, Turo, Airbnb, Credit consultations for personal and business. I feel like someone would work with me over the competition because I am a one stop shop. I am able to provide the service, the teaching and I sell the products to help you maintain the look that we are trying to achieve. I am a licensed esthetician so not only have I been trained on the skills I provide I am a licensed professional. At my location we do not just provide services but we provide you with a tranquil spa experience. I have been known for giving my clients freebies. I want your experience with me to be so relaxing from beginning to end.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My piece of advice would be to pray and have faith in what your asking for and act like it is already done. I realized I was leaving prayer out of a lot of things I was doing and once I changed that my life changed. I started my day praying midday I do praise and worship by myself and at night I pray. Not always asking for anything but just thinking him for never giving up on me. Get you a coach. It’s hard trying to figure this all out by yourself as you cannot do it alone.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means to me to be better than you were yesterday. Success is not just money sometimes we can change a persons life with a smile, with words, with action. Success is a journey and if you have done more today than you did yesterday than you were successful. Write down small goals write down big goals and attack them. Nobody can stop you but you. If you see the vision make it plain. Put it in the atmosphere. If it’s Gods will it’s his bill. Money is not everything But you can’t do anything being broke. Success is having a better life than you had prior.
What’s next for you?
My goal next is to coach. I want to teach others how to create multiple streams of income. I am in the process of opening a DOT testing facility that I want to get woman certified through the government in hopes of creating bigger contract deals for the company. I have a business partner so we have so many goals for those business ventures as well. My goal is to do more 1×1 with my business besties as their in different states so we are manifesting more collaborations. My goal is also to work more with my own coaches I am so grateful to them being apart of my journey.
