Kyle Robinson’s journey from professional athlete to addiction survivor to motivational leader is a testament to the power of reinvention. Today, as the founder of Relentless Repetition, Robinson uses his story to inspire individuals and teams to embrace discipline and resilience in pursuit of excellence.
A Career Cut Short, a Purpose Revealed
Robinson spent more than six years living his childhood dream: playing professional baseball. But when an injury required surgery, a prescription painkiller dependency snowballed into addiction. Heroin, meth, arrests, and more than a year in county jail followed.
“I lost everything: my career, my freedom, my dignity,” he says. “But those losses became the foundation for everything I am today.”
His turning point arrived on November 24, 2019, the day he got sober. Surviving seven overdoses convinced him that he was meant for something greater.
The Birth of Relentless Repetition
Robinson’s brand is built on a principle he discovered while rebuilding his life: mastery is born from consistent, often unglamorous work.
“People chase quick results,” he explains. “But true excellence comes from daily effort. Relentless repetition is what separates elite performers.”
This philosophy now guides his speaking and coaching programs, where he aims to help audiences develop resilience, purpose, and long-term discipline.
Mentorship, Growth, and New Opportunities
A major breakthrough came when Robinson crossed paths with renowned speaker Damon West, a figure he’d admired even during the darkest years of addiction. “Meeting him after getting sober was confirmation I was on the right path,” he says.
Robinson credits mentors like West and Paul Getter for accelerating his growth and helping him understand the business side of professional speaking.
Looking Ahead
Robinson’s vision is bold: to inspire high-performance cultures in universities, professional sports teams, and leadership organizations nationwide. More than anything, he wants his story to empower others facing battles of their own.
“If I can rebuild my life,” he says, “anyone can with relentless repetition.”
