Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanelle Renee CEO of ModelShop Store.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Hi! I’m Chanelle Renee’ aka The ModelBoss, and I started my career as a professional commercial / print model, I’ve been featured on ads with Nike, Target, as well as music videos for DJ Khalid and Justin Bieber, but I’ve always been a Creative at heart. My passion for modeling led me to become a model mentor with The Chanelle Renee Project, in which I host workshops and classes to help those interested to navigate through the industry and get professional level coaching and advice. I later turned my attention to becoming a Social Media Manager for Nick Cannon and his powerhouse company, “Ncredible”. I’ve also worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Creative Director with 10 + years of experience. My work has been featured for multiple personal brands and clients. Besides working on client’s brands, my passion is to help everyday people maximize their own skills; in which my expertise led me to create my brand, ModelShop.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
I’ve had many struggles to overcome. With the difficulties of being a Black woman in America and starting a business, I’ve always felt like I have to prove myself 10x more than my counterparts. So I’ve struggled with anxiety and believing in myself enough to push myself forward and create my own brand. I’m so accustomed to working on other’s business goals, that I failed to work on myself and neglected my own for years. I had an overwhelming fear and anxiety that crippled me from becoming the best version of myself. Not only that, I had to overcome having Imposter Syndrome. These were all challenges I had to overcome along the way, which I am grateful for, and allowing myself to put myself out there. Faith over fear is my new motto.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am the founder and creator of Modelshop Store; a one stop shop destination for brands, those who work in the creative industry, models – aspiring and professional, as well as bloggers and content creators to help stand out against the crowd, with our digital products and services. What makes my brand stand out from the competition is simple – we stand apart, because we help you stand apart. Our digital products are proven to be one of a kind, professional quality and very beneficial to one’s personal and business brands growth. Also, my personal skillsets & knowledge in multiple fields, sets me parr from my competitors.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My best piece of advice is to never give up on your goals. No matter how long it takes, don’t loose sight to your core values, and your goals. The more you work on yourself, the more likely you will attract the success you desire in your life.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means achieving all of the goals that you have envisioned for yourself. No matter how big or small those goals are. When you are happy with what you’ve accomplish in your life, then you are truly successful.
What’s next for you?
My next goal is to make ModelShop Store an international brand. I’d like to host brunches for the next goal – getters and dream makers. I’d like to also produce seminars and workshops for how to brand yourself, for motivational purposes and to help others connect with like minded individuals.
