Dwight Clarke Plans Negril Mastermind Focused on Authenticity and Renewal

After more than three decades in corporate human resources, Dwight Clarke has seen what sustained professional pressure can do to people.

The responsibilities accumulate. Executives, entrepreneurs and professionals move between leadership, family and personal obligations, often carrying several roles at once. Over time, the space to think clearly can become surprisingly difficult to find.

Clarke, founder of Dwight Clarke Professional Services, believes periodically stepping away from those demands is more than a luxury. In spring 2027, he plans to bring that philosophy to Jamaica through a curated three-day mastermind experience in Negril.

The setting is intentional. For Clarke, it also carries a personal history.

Returning to Jamaica With a Purpose

Clarke grew up in Jamaica, and hosting an experience on the island fulfills a vision he says has stayed with him since childhood. Negril, with its well-known Seven Mile Beach and slower tropical rhythm, will provide the backdrop for a gathering centered on reflection, connection and clarity.

Rather than creating another packed professional event, Clarke is approaching the mastermind as an opportunity for participants to temporarily put down the various “hats” they wear every day.

That thinking comes directly from his career.

Across more than 30 years working in human resources in multiple industries, Clarke watched professionals encounter burnout and the strain that can accompany prolonged responsibility. His work today as an executive coach draws from those observations, with a particular focus on authenticity, resilience and clarity.

The three-day experience is designed to offer participants a safe, nurturing environment away from their usual routines, creating room to reset and reconsider how they are showing up in their professional and personal lives.

Why Authenticity Matters More in the Age of AI

The mastermind also arrives as Clarke is thinking more deeply about how technology is changing professional life.

“AI is now requiring ‘Radical Humanity,’ aka AUTHENTICITY,” Clarke says.

For him, the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence makes distinctly human qualities increasingly valuable. Technical tools may change how people work, communicate and make decisions, but Clarke sees authenticity as something that cannot simply be automated.

That perspective fits naturally into his broader coaching philosophy. Clarity often requires distance from the noise surrounding a decision. Resilience requires understanding when continued effort is useful and when recovery is necessary. Authenticity asks a more uncomfortable question: Are people living and leading according to who they actually are, or according to the expectations attached to their roles?

Negril offers Clarke a setting in which those questions can be explored without the usual interruptions.

Creating Space to Reset

The choice to build the mastermind around a three-day retreat reflects a lesson Clarke has observed repeatedly throughout his career: people sometimes need physical distance from their normal environment before they can see it clearly.

The spring 2027 gathering brings together several threads of his life. There is his corporate experience, his work as an executive coach and his longstanding connection to Jamaica. There is also the childhood vision of someday creating something meaningful on the island where he grew up.

This time, Clarke will return as a host, inviting others to step away from their routines long enough to reconnect with what matters.
