Dr. Linda R. Jordon: Leading with Purpose, Building with Legacy

When you meet Dr. Linda R. Jordon, you immediately feel her presence—rooted in wisdom, wrapped in resilience, and driven by purpose. She’s not just a leadership coach. She’s a legacy builder, real estate investor, breast cancer survivor, and now the first Black and first Black female mayor of Butner, North Carolina. With over 30 years of corporate experience and a lifetime of lived wisdom, Dr. Jordon is showing women—especially those in their encore years—that it’s never too late to be the CEO of your own life.

As the Founder of LRJ Consulting, Dr. Jordon is a transformational force in the lives of high-achieving women who are ready to ditch doubt, ditch delay, and step boldly into leadership and wealth-building. Her brand stands at the intersection of personal development, financial freedom, and faith-driven empowerment.

From Corporate Burnout to CEO Energy

Dr. Jordon’s story is one of reinvention. After climbing the corporate ladder for decades—facing rejection, being overlooked, and feeling the pressure to “fit in”—she decided to pivot. “I had a boss that wasn’t the greatest, and I realized that too many leaders didn’t understand their power to inspire or crush potential,” she says. That, coupled with a deep desire to leave a legacy for her daughter, sparked her journey into real estate investing and entrepreneurship.

But her defining moment came in December 2014. Diagnosed with breast cancer and facing a company restructure, Dr. Jordon took early retirement—not just to heal her body, but to realign her purpose. “That diagnosis was life-altering, but it also lit a fire. I started my own real estate business, and I never looked back.”

Leadership That Transforms, Wealth That Lasts

Armed with a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and certifications as a John Maxwell Coach and DISC Facilitator, Dr. Jordon blends academic credibility with street-smart strategy. She bridges the gap between corporate boardrooms and community entrepreneurship, especially for women over 50 who are ready to build something of their own.

Her coaching programs and signature talks inspire women to:

  • Lead with clarity and confidence

  • Build wealth through real estate

  • Turn their pain into purpose

  • And design a life filled with impact—not just income

Her unique message? Legacy over likes. Because what good is influence if it doesn’t outlive you?

Real Talk with Dr. Jordon: 5 Power Moves to Live By

Dr. Jordon is known for her straight-shooting style. Here are her five most powerful principles for women ready to level up:

1. Do It Afraid—But Do It Anyway

Fear is a liar and procrastination’s best friend. Don’t wait for perfect. That idea? Launch it. That dream? Chase it. Action cures fear.

2. Build Wealth Like a Boss—Start with What You Know

Real estate changed her life—and it can change yours. Start where you are, use what you know, and scale smart.

3. Your Leadership Is Your Brand

How you show up in the world matters. Whether you’re on a Zoom call or a stage, show up ready and lead with authority.

4. Join Rooms That Elevate, Not Drain

Surround yourself with women who dream bigger, build bolder, and invest wiser. Growth requires the right environment.

5. Legacy Over Likes

Social media is cute, but generational wealth is real power. Focus on building something that lives beyond the feed.

Notable Honors & What’s Next

Dr. Jordon’s work hasn’t gone unnoticed. She’s received the Citizen of the Year Award from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Top 100 Businesses recognition from Business Black Ink, and the Community Service Award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. But perhaps her most proud title? Mom.

Her future is bright. She envisions growing her nonprofit, Breast Cancer Angel Network, Inc., to support 100,000 women navigating life during and after cancer. She plans to expand her speaking career globally, using her voice to awaken possibility in others.

Country Roots, Global Vision

Born and raised in Virginia, Dr. Jordon remains grounded in her faith, family, and Southern values. She’s a wife, mother, mentor, and investor who still believes in Sunday dinners, handwritten notes, and doing what’s right—even when it’s not popular.

Whether she’s flipping homes, leading boardrooms, or serving her town as mayor, one thing is certain: Dr. Linda R. Jordon is building more than businesses—she’s building a movement.
