Today we’d like to introduce you to Commerce.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Well I’m commerce a self made entrepreneur from the inland empire California. I’ve been developing my sound and establishing my brand for almost 10 years. My name stems from household education from my parents, preparing me as a young age for what Commerce really is. I am Commerce meaning I am you, you are me, everything we see is commerce. We are one, I represent it all and the people. But when you ask how did I get to where I am today, it goes without a doubt to say the universe makes no mistakes. Dedication, patience & listening to my heart. Success never comes easy.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Losing friends, or people I thought were friends. Thinking you have a solid team when it’s a lot of hallow beings around. I’ve gone through it all, from falling out with producers, management people stealing records to shady business in general. The good thing is I’m still young and experienced most of my trial and error already. I’ve learned over the years how to genuinely read a person’s energy, I think that could be the biggest challenge for a lot of artists, seeing who’s really there for you and who’s not.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I’m a one man band & my style isn’t marginalized nor is it in one category of genre. My range for sounds and lyricism goes beyond. Hip hop is one of my main cultural influences, but I love and respect all music. I’m working on a few rock tracks as well as reggae tone, there’s no reason I shouldn’t expand my audience if I have the potential to. If I wasn’t me, I would want to work with me on the fact that I’m not just an artist. I’m a videographer I can produce, engineer, write a screen play I plan on acting in movies one day there’s no limit to my creativity. My energy is unmatched I’m a motivational speaker as well I love putting a smile on someone’s face giving them that encouragement they need through the day, month or year. I just think it’s a better way to do it via music.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Your success is what you make it & You’re your worst enemy. You wake up and go to war with yourself daily so why not be a voice of motivation. Never give up on your dreams plant the seed and watch them grow manifestation is everything. If you want something in life you have to eat, breath, sleep about it 24/7 you keep watering the grass it’ll grow.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
keeping the ones I love happy & healthy is something I consider success. I could say winning a billion dollar lotto or becoming one of the biggest artist ever but money or fame doesn’t always mean you’re successful. You can have it all and lose it tomorrow was that the height of your success? Watching everyone around me win, continuing to enjoy life watch my kids grow with love that’s the best success I could have.
What’s next for you?
Execution is next. My 2022 is pretty much mapped out already from EP release dates, video shoots marketing campaigns new shows. I have an iheart radio feature dropping soon pretty excited for that should help expand my brand. Staying diligent & humble throughout my career I know it’s only the tip of the iceberg for big things coming my way.
