Beyond the Grills and Wheels: Meet Lawrence Perry IV of Perry’s a La Carte

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrence Perry.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

As a mobile food truck owner, I started out at home entertaining friends and family. I would always  try new dishes and different techniques to create a favorable food experience.  I found myself observing and taking notes at a variety of meals I ordered and watched on food shows. I would then go to our kitchen and duplicate it. Once perfected I would present it to my friends at the next get together. From there I created a menu of a wide range of dishes that would appeal to the most discerning foodies.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

First, the top challenge was to find talent that are trustworthy and follow our style of delivering quality service. The second challenge is critical to the food truck business and that is  finding places acceptable to set up.  And third, things got really challenging when food prices started to escalate.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

When customers arrive at our service window they are greeted with a smile and patented Southern hospitality. The presentation of our menu items are delivered with speed, elegance and grace.  The food is appealing to all of your senses. If it’s a hot item, the sizzling immediately sings to your ears.  The visual stimulation makes your mouth water and the texture makes you want to dance.  Perry’s A La Carte food truck is a one of a kind experience.  It’s street dining on another level.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Be available, and work as many events as possible. Streamline the menu, and be brilliant at the basics.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Imagine this scene: my food truck parked in the heart of the city, surrounded by the hustle and bustle. The mouthwatering aromas of my culinary creations waft through the air, attracting a diverse crowd. From the streets to the suits, everyone’s craving a taste of my irresistible dishes.

Success, my friend, means becoming an integral part of my community. It’s about forging connections, building relationships with my customers, and becoming their go-to spot for finger-licking goodness. When people start raving about my food, snapping drool-worthy pics, and tagging me all over social media, that’s when I know I’ve struck gold. My food becomes a symbol of flavor and authenticity that people can’t resist.

But success isn’t just about serving up amazing eats. It’s about the people behind the scenes too. It’s the team that stands beside me day in and day out, hustling as hard as I do. Together, we’re like a tight-knit family, making sure every dish that leaves our truck is nothing short of perfection. Their growth and success alongside mine, that’s what it’s all about.

What’s next for you?

Buy more food trucks to cover more area.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
