Angelica Caruso, An Inspiring Young Entrepreneur

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelica Caruso .

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you, it’s a pleasure and privilege to speak with you as well. I first began my journey in the entertainment industry at 11 months old as a model for Neiman Marcus. Growing up in the industry afforded many opportunities for my career to blossom. I realized that my passion was with music, which led me to professional voice lessons. At 11 years old I stepped into a recording studio. Where eventually I recorded my first hit single Rich Girl Mentality that reached over 300,000 views once the music video dropped! It reached major platforms such as Power 105.1, Hot 97 and other outlets. It’s currently available on multiple streaming platforms and YouTube®. In just a few weeks after the music video was released, I was contacted by Atlantic records for a meeting. As my career began to grow, I was featured on the cover of several magazines and newspapers. I performed at many concerts and charitable events throughout the U.S. with some of the biggest stars in the business. I even landed my first movie role! I’m also grateful to have had the opportunity to perform, walk, and be featured on the billboard for New York Fashion Week. By 16 years old, as an entrepreneur it was in my best interest to start and run my own LLC. Today, at 18 years old I pride myself in being an overall entrepreneur as well as a singer, songwriter, model, actress, and influencer.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

You’re absolutely right and I would like to emphasize that success is not easily found in any industry. It requires tremendous determination, focus, and passion. Personally, one of the challenges I had to overcome was some of the negativity from my first hit single. In a creative response I released Shades to block out the haters. Which became my next hit single that reached multiple platforms. Ultimately, it led to a partnership with Power 105.1 where I gave away designer sunglasses to listeners. It was rewarding, I was inspired by all the responses from fans and new listeners. It continued to fuel my passion and I realized that I couldn’t let “haters” get in the way of my dreams.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

Currently I specialize in wearing many hats in the entertainment industry as I have built a diversified career. I wouldn’t necessarily say why someone should work with me over the competition because the entertainment industry continues to evolve. I genuinely love music. I am open to different sounds, genres, and collaborations where I can use all my abilities. I am easy to work with because I am creatively adaptable and open minded.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I would encourage readers who desire to find success not to let any negativity or people to cloud their vision or style. When you have “haters” or doubters, that means you’re doing something right. It’s important to be yourself and trust in the ideas that align with your goals and creative process. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t be open minded to different ideas or opportunities that will lead you to your own success.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

The only metric to measure success is how fulfilled we feel in the end. Success can be defined in many ways. I noticed when success is measured through the visions of others it could be discouraging. I choose not to rely on others to measure my success. I believe it is more productive to focus and care about one’s happiness. Overall, what success means to me is having my own personal validation of accomplishments in which I find to be very rewarding.

What’s next for you?

In the upcoming year I will primarily focus on directing and creating my new music and music videos. I’m really excited to discover new sounds in the studio and catch the reaction of my fans. At the same time, I will continue with my endorsements and partnerships on social media. I am grateful for all the support and anticipate expanding my audience on Instagram and TikTok. I look forward to what’s next, since my experiences in the industry have shaped me to be the successful person I am today.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
