Exclusive Interview with Eric Akoa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Akoa.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I am Eric Akoa. I’m 28 years from Cameroon. I’m a super model, Influencer and an Actor. I moved to Dubai 5 years ago not knowing how to speak English or Arabic, cause I’m a French speaker and not having a job basically, I moved here on my own pursuing the Dubai dream, but the dream turned quickly in to a nightmare. I was a waiter for a year with a salary of 300 euros, after that I resigned and went to the Fitness industry as a personal trainer

For 2 years until the coronavirus happened … I lost my job and ended up on the streets for a while until a friend helped me out , and it’s in that dark moment of solitude that I decided to go after what I love the most, which is Acting and Modeling.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Being one of the biggest models in Africa and Middle East definitely wasn’t something easy especially as a dark skin color in the Middle East I wasn’t really put on the spot but today the Middle East is very open now and the fact that I couldn’t express myself properly in English, I was driven by that passion of Acting, Influencing and Modeling and I think that helped me a lot. Today I am one of the highest paid Influencers and Models in the Middle East.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I specialize in Acting, Influencing and modeling and I really love my crafts. I have always received positive feedbacks so far because I always bring a positive energy on set.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Find something you love doing and stick to that until you are the best at it and get paid for it.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

To me, success is doing what you love and constantly progressing on it.

What’s next for you?

My next move is my biggest dream and I’m working towards it every day which is being on the same movie set with Will Smith.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

I’m on Instagram @eric.fit_ where I’m very active and always ready to answer people who need advice or help about the acting, Influencing and modeling industry
