Exclusive Interview with Derrick Mosley II
Today we’d like to introduce you to Derrick Mosley II.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I was raised in a very small city in Ohio, where majority of the people that I was surrounded by, did not look like me. My parents moved four hours away from the only home they ever knew in an attempt to give me a better life than they ever had. When I was young, my mom really pushed this messaging on me that I was not meant to blend in, there was a special calling on my life, and just the truth, that real freedom myself as I became an adult was never going to come through working for someone else. It’s something that stuck with me in the back of my mind as social pressures really tugged on me, and I looked for validation and acceptance among people that didn’t have that same seed of greatness, and having great expectation for their life planted within them. This area that we grew up in really conditioned people to just except what life has given them as if they don’t really have another choice. This was something my mom had known since she had been here to this city a decade before I was ever born in. She just did not want me to get caught in that same trap. Mindset is what put me on the path that I’m on and I owe that all to my parents.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
In 2012 while working two jobs at Little Caesars and the speedway gas station across the street, I was first exposed to the truth about how the world really works that everyone had the same opportunity in this country to produce wealth and be your own boss. I voluntarily took a position to be a sign shaker as they called it. Basically I walked up and down the road holding a sign to bring in business. I only did this so I could listen to audiobooks by Darren Hardy, Jim Rohn and John C. Maxwell. I needed to isolate myself from everyone else to protect my focus. Anyone that is reading this that has worked fast food job understands exactly what I mean. I did this in the rain AND snow. It really meant that much to me. In 2016 I went through a divorce in was homeless for a brief period before being reunited with my now wife that I had not seen for over a decade. While we were dating, I moved back to my hometown and took a job at a pizzeria in the kitchen while trying to get a digital marketing agency off the ground and using my iPhone to shoot commercials. I worked with a handful of businesses while working that job until I ended up upgrading my gear and landing my first five figure deal you with a multi million dollar company. Fast forward to 2020 the pandemic led me to trading.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Well, I’m an options trading coaching and consultant that specializes in teaching traders how to read price action to identify smart money by price and time. I created a course & coaching program my call the alpha way. It is centered around using The Strat, a price action strategy created by 3 decade trader Rob Smith. It is being featured on the blog of one of the largest e-learning platforms in the world Thinkific.
It’s the most comprehensive program in the market where I teach students how to find, execute, manage and profit off of 200, 300 and even 500+% trades with confidence and a plan for everything from entry, exit, rolling positions, and more for day trading and swings. I cover the How, Why, and When.
Once you learn to read price action and then apply the knowledge you will feel an immeasurable level of confidence when you operate in a plan. What I teach is replicable from person to person that can’t be said for many other strategies. This eliminates the guessing and gambling we see in the industry’s from new and struggling traders allowing steady and rapid growth in their results.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
We are normally conditioned that success is in what we have or how much money we make that will ultimately make us happy. It’s really in what we can create with real joy on our own terms. Happiness and Joy aren’t the same thing. Happiness is a byproduct of what happens to us whereas joy is a byproduct of our attitude toward our personal situation. For instance, Manchester United could lose a match against Liverpool and that will make me unhappy, and for some even ruin their day. But ultimately it didn’t change the situation in my life so my attitude about my situation is based on what I do and create and not the environment or what’s happening outside of my control. Success come from creating joy within your purpose and resourcefulness.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
For me, my success comes from operating within my God-given assignment and gift, which will provide me income and even wealth because I did it to serve other people. The amount of people that I serve or problems that I solve will dictate the level of wealth I will produce.
What’s next for you?
First quarter of 2023 my team and I are launching the ‘10X Profit Challenge’. This will be one of the most transformative trading events or workshops in the industry. After that I’m publishing 2 books, launching a podcast with my wife and really turning up the volume on the amount of content we put out including a blog about my family, faith and journey building wealth and teaching others to do the same. In 2023 I intend to make an alpha pack trading community and platform the most recognizable options and investing education names on the planet.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
I’m on every major social media platform. Just search for Fico Jordan on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN and Snapchat. On Instagram I’m under @Fico.Jordan. There are a lot of copycat accounts, but my real account has about 30,000 followers. The number of accounts that pop up every other day has been humorous and weird at the same time.
