Today we’d like to introduce you to Phillip ‘Phenom’ Robinson.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I took a random chance and decided to take an internship as a 14 year old. I was offered free food and I took advantage of the opportunity.

The internship was with a local baseball team with their production team. Now, 12 years later I still work in television production and freelance for ESPN+.

The experience of working in production gave me a passion for storytelling which eventually turned into speaking. I now use my voice to inspire others through my podcast, TEDx talks, and my coaching.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Rejection after rejection and making sure I find something that aligns with my figure. There will always be doors that were closed in my face and I had to just realize that it wasn’t meant for me to walk through that door.

One of the best example is when I was graduating from college I applied to ESPN about 15 times and never got hired. Then a few years later I started freelancing all across North Carolina with ESPN+ doing college and professional sports. The best part about that is now I set my own schedule!

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

The work I do now is endless it seems like. I’m a day trader, podcaster, work in tech sales and a success coach. I would definitely say what I specialize in is my success coaching!

Someone should work with me over anyone else in the success coaching industry because I have experience achieving success in many industries.

Freelancing, corporate, high-level athlete, author, etc. the list goes on. The list goes on, I can relate to the majority of my clients.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Find clarity. Without clarity you will never know what you’re aiming for. You can’t hit a target you can’t see.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Simply setting a goal and achieving it.

What’s next for you?

I’m looking to drop a motivational album by the end of the summer so definitely be on the lookout for that!!

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
