It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Hello, It is a pleasure being here! Fallen and not staying there is how I got to where I am today! Let me elaborate for you just a little! In 2019 depression tried to take me out, but GOD said NO way NO how! My freedom was taken from me by a job that I enjoyed, but I was no longer able to press my way to deliver what I needed to deliver for my team! Life grabbed me by the collar and tried to destroy me mentally, physically & emotionally, but the fight I had in me was tougher than metal imbedded with cement. I refused to let life’s challenges tear me down and strip me of what I knew I still had in me! I decided to focus more on me and fighting to get back up rather than staying where I knew I had NO business being & that’s DOWN! I told my younger self that I would make her proud, fight for our future, and accomplish EVERYTHING she wanted to achieve if I had breath in my body!2020 I started my magnetic lash business, 2021 I launched my Shoe line, became a co-author, re-launched my travel agency & started my boutique! My goal is to speak & empower through my brand! Life isn’t over, but it’s what we make of it! Look in the mirror & stare yourself dead in the eyes and say those past traumas & heartbreaks will NOT break me!
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
I am not where I want to be, but I am further than where I was and that is much success to me! Mental challenges! Losing friends! Trying to please others so they support me & that caused me to lose myself during it all! I fell sick and thought I would lose my eyesight and that landed me somewhere I didn’t want to be, but when you refuse to give up & have that steady fight in your blood, its ONLY up moving forward! Magnetic Lashes gave me that UMPH I needed to keep pressing my way once I realized life wasn’t over!
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am not here to compete, but I am here to relate & release some pressure off their shoulders! I want to let them know that I am not perfect, but I was placed here on a mission and that mission is to grab hands, hold them and lead them to their greatness! I just want to let them know that they’re not alone and life has also knocked me down and more than once but throwing your hands up in the form of a fist, placing a stern look on your face as if you were disciplining your child and still pressing your way is what CHAMPIONS do! IT’S TIME TO TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK! I designed shoes that make me sway from left to right & when I grab my outfits, I make sure they speak LOUD & CLEAR to represent my VIBE & the TONE in my VOICE that day! I grab the magnetic lash of my choice that will make my eyes snap, crackle & POP! I want to be seen so I can assist & heard so I can communicate in more than one way because I have been sheltered & hidden for long ENOUGH! I AM THAT I AM!
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Find something you are passionate about and that way you won’t feel so overwhelmed. But if you just can’t seem to figure it out write down all the things you enjoy doing and pay attention to how you react to each one as you’re writing and elaborating! Putting pencil to paper and focusing on your reaction more than the dollar sign will take you a long way! Surround yourself around those that want to see you win! Increase your reading and keep your mind active, but make sure as you feed your brain you continue to instill that hunger and stay openminded to being teachable and learning new things! Never allow anyone to poison your brain into thinking that help should be free, because everything isn’t FREE and sometimes the best comes with a price tag! This journey isn’t going to be easy, but it will surely be worth it! Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
We can’t become successful until we have cleansed ourselves of all things toxic that may hold us back from moving forward! Success to me means doing everything I have always wanted to do and giving back to help others do the same! I shifted my mindset and gave my hand to leaders to guide me and show me the way, but I never would have done it if I hadn’t grown mentally, physically & emotionally! Challenging yourself and achieving them exceeds a lot in life!
What’s next for you?
Traveling, to surround myself around those who are where I am trying to go! Graduation, but shhhhh! I want to be able to service my clients to the best of my ability so they have something to run home & tell the folk about! Collaborations & expanding my social networks! Mentoring and helping more people believe in themselves! I am working on a project for my Magnetic Eye Lash business, my book signing and some other exciting things! We never know what the future holds, but if I have a plan with blood that’s pumping through my veins, I will continue pressing my way! I am here to empower, motivate, give my all and spread love to all that have arms just as wide as mine to receive it.
