Today we’d like to introduce you to JaeHussain.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I started doing music at a young age in California I played the violin in the viola all through grade school went to college and found myself at a point where I was wondering how do I get back to my passions and that’s when I got back into music engineering kind of Doing odd jobs around the studio until I found the confidence to play instruments and I started making beats I sold my first beat in 2015 live in Florida and that’s when I realized I kind of maybe have something then in 2018 I decided to take things serious and I started producing beats under the name OMG is that JaeHussain
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The main challenge in music is learning the music business it’s definitely complicated learning about royalties and ensuring that you’re going to be paid your royalties understanding music contracts and things of that nature I highly suggest people get with a music lawyer or somebody they can trust and can mentor them along their way to ensure that they are not just putting music out but setting themself up for the legal protection and success that in the future they will still see income from their work
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialize in making beats I do some mixing and mastering but I prefer to make beats ,I don’t think anybody can escape being inside of music and not kind of touch all elements of music at some point in their career I found that I enjoy the production side of things I like sounds so that’s my home its what sets me apart from the competition my music is definitely reflection of moods passion moments and I like to create moments that you can’t create again
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
I think my best advice I can give readers is to follow your heart follow your passion listen to your inner voice and definitely have a relationship with God whoever you see is your higher power and everything else will follow it is a business but I think music is always something that is dear to people and we just gotta do what motivates you and drives you some people that just in it for the money that’s cool too either way make a plan and execute it from whatever place it comes from but just be diligent and focused on what you’re pursuing
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
I think success is different for everybody for myself personally the worst success means that I accomplish my goals and accomplish what I said out to do I think success should be a measurement that is defined by yourself and not by the masses or other people it shouldn’t be that in order to be successful you have to do XYZ if you only felt X and Y was necessary necessary
