Today we’d like to introduce you to Theodosia’ Hargrove.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a 26 year old U.S Army Veteran, born & raised in Detroit, MI. I started in my Aunts salon as a receptionist and started watching the Estheticians there. It wasn’t long before they started teaching me a few things. Finally after attempting college and leaving the military, I signed up for school, graduated, & obtained my license. After vending at a few pop-up shops, I rented a suit and the rest is history.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Leaving my job to focus on my business & losing that sure income. Finding a way to fund my business only with the money it made definitely taught me a lot more about discipline, & organization. There’s also the want of those closest to you to show up more than they do. It feels like the end of the world if they don’t. I learned that strangers make you rich, not your friends & family.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am a Licensed Esthetician and I specialize in Dermaplaning & customer service. There is no other establishment for you to go & have an experience as you will with me. Utulivu Esthetics is the choice to work with over the competition because we’re dedicated to results & understanding our guests goals. Most establishments forget that.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Find what makes you happy. If you do something that you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. Also make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. A wise man once told me give yourself grace.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means being in control of my own destiny. I have that control nobody else can take that from me.
