Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyenne Burnett.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

As a new mom, more than once I felt totally blindsided by the entire postpartum period. I knew life after having my son would be different, but it was really hard for me, as a first-time mom, to wrap my head around just HOW different. No conversation I had, prepared me for the sleep-deprivation, the feeding struggles, the baby blues, wildly intrusive thoughts, or the postpartum anxiety and depression… not even conversations with my doctor. It only took a few days after delivery for me to experience a shift in my mood so severe that it felt like all the joy in the world spilled out of me. And when I called my doctor, things only got worse for me because the solution I was offered was to meet with a therapist (when they could fit me into their schedule in a few weeks) to discuss antidepressants. I needed something or someone to help me make sense of what was happening NOW, not at their next available appointment time. And I definitely didn’t want to take antidepressants if I didn’t have to because I’d been down that road before and I really hated how they made me feel. I felt totally unprepared and totally alone. Well I refused to accept that. I thought, there had to be a better way to handle this than waiting until I have already reached crisis mode and then telling me to make an appointment with a therapist to discuss antidepressants.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Pregnancy and Postpartum are very emotionally driven topics and so is mental health these days. So as I entered into this market for the first time one of the biggest challenges I have faced with MYMOOD Vitamins is making sure my messaging doesn’t make it seem like mothers who are on medication are “wrong” for taking them. I personally don’t think there is anything wrong with taking antidepressants if that is in fact what’s in your best interest. I also believe that there are many mothers who would choose differently if they had an all natural option. That’s why my product is designed for moms like me, who really don’t want to be medicated if we don’t have to be. So figuring out how to tell my story and share why I developed my product without offending moms who do take medication has been a bigger challenge than I thought it would be when I started.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

MYMOOD Vitamins are the first-EVER all-natural vegan super supplement specifically designed to help reduce the symptoms of Postpartum Anxiety and Depression for new moms. As the Founder I have personally made it my mission to change the way we approach postpartum care and help moms who are suffering from Postpartum Anxiety and Depression take back control of their mood and actually enjoy the postpartum phase without the use of medication. Our one-of-a-kind proprietary formula help’s new moms regain that feeling of normal, have fewer mood swings, experience less irritability, get better sleep, have more patience, and even be a better mom because let’s face it, if you’re in a better mood, your kids get a better version of you. We transform your relationship with postpartum by offering the best information and a one-of-a-kind, all-natural supplement formulated with over 25 different vitamins, herbs, and minerals traditionally used to alleviate mood swings, irritability, insomnia, restlessness, wildly intrusive thoughts, fatigue, and yes, even hair loss and we know we are successful each time MYMOOD Vitamins battles postpartum depression and anxiety symptoms so the mom taking them doesn’t have to.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

For those of you who aspire to be an entrepreneur but just haven’t quite figured out what your niche is, my advice is this, document EVERYTHING! I didn’t just wake up one day and think “you know what, today I am going to start a successful postpartum supplement company.” There were years of groundwork before that. When Brad and I decided to have our son I started documenting everything I experienced. At first, I didn’t have any idea what I would do with it but that didn’t matter, I just documented it. Eventually, all of the things I experienced, the trials, the tears, and the incredible birth of my son Saverio found their way into my book called “A Fear Free Birth” www.afearfreebirth.com, which became my first product. Then as I experienced life after birth those experiences shaped the next phase in my life and ultimately in our business. In my experience, the most successful businesses start from entrepreneurs just like you who have a problem and figure out how to fix it for themselves and then go on to share how they fixed it with others. So document everything, even if it’s unclear what you will do with it right now. It’s like Lego Batman said, “Always be recording.”

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success for me means MYMOOD Vitamins battles Postpartum Anxiety and Postpartum Depression so the mom taking them, doesn’t have to.

What’s next for you?

Bringing the first-EVER all-natural super supplement for postpartum anxiety and depression to market was only step one. The next step is focusing on changing the way postpartum care is done by teaching new moms how to take a proactive approach to Postpartum rather than a reactive one like what I experienced.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
