Meet 7 Figure South African Content Creator & Forex Trader, Jay Froneman, Inspiring The Masses
Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Froneman.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My story started at 13 years old. I was a young kid with dreams from a third world country: South Africa. I started my first online business selling 2nd hand cellphones on my own shopify store. By the time I was 15 years old I saved $4000 to invest into crypto currency, specifically XRP ripple at the time. I lost that money after a crypto crash and had to rebuild. Throughout 15 to 18 I started my own web design and drop servicing agency where I sold WordPress website to clients. By the time I turned 19, I started my YouTube channel. I created tutorials on how to create ecom stores, funnels, affiliate marketing and make money online content in general. I had a lot of viewers succeed from my content. This is where I discovered I had a talent for creating content, teaching people and changing lives. This is where my business and fame blew up. 3 years later, I have posted every day on YouTube giving tons of free value. My Channel has blown up to 178,000 subscribers, 10M total views, $300,000 channel net worth and has become verified. Along my content creation journey, I wanted to diversify. I dabbled in properties, forex and commodity investments and drop shipping. I joined a forex trading mentorship and picked up the skill quickly. I invested $20,000, traded every day, grew my account to $300,000 in my first year. Today, I have an audience over 500,000 followers over all platforms.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced as an entrepreneur, forex trader, content creator / influencer is burnout… Coming up with new ideas, recording, editing and posting 4 times a day everyday for 3 years is hard work. There have been many times where I’ve had content creators burnout and wanted to stop. Like anything in life, being consistent and not giving up is key. I overcame this by remembering where I came from… A middle class family with no luxury and no wealth. I enjoyed the process, building my business, creating content more than the reward. I created content on YouTube everyday for a year before I earned a single cent. I did it as a passion and hobby. Forex trading is one of the most emotional games out there. I lost over $20,000 in my first month trading. I pursued and didn’t give up because I was determined to succeed with it. After 2 months of nearly a $30,000 loss. I broke even on this loss and recovered from this tough mental patch. 1 year into trading, I’ve generated over $300,000 in profit. I over came not giving up that white knuckle mental patch. I started own trading group where I post my live trades and have over 1500 people following my trades and making profits with with me. I’ve been through many white knuckle mental patches where I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere. The key to my success was over coming these patches and not giving up.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialise in content creation & forex trading. One thing I’ve always avoided is selling forex or content creation courses. The reason behind this is to rather document my journey in forex trading and content creation for my followers to follow instead of just selling courses and making money off of my audience. This is where I feel I differ from a lot of my competition. It’s easy to pose a wealthy lifestyle and sell courses but its hard and true work building your own success and documenting that. I recommend people to work with me because I don’t charge for them too! I post all my live trades for free. I post all of my educational courses on Youtube for free. Hence why my audience has grown very quickly.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My best piece of advice is learn to love the process more than the reward and money. Yes, money helps in life. It pays for your bills and gives you freedom which is what most people want. I agree its nice to have. Don’t start a business or your trading career with the mindset of wanting to buy Lamborghinis, flex and prove you’re better than everyone else. You’ll tire yourself out and make yourself more unhappy than anything. Start your business for yourself. Other’s opinions and hate mean nothing to me. Once you can apply this mindset, You’ll love your own process. Success is not necessarily wealth and money, I see happiness as a huge part of success. My second piece of advice: Work hard and enjoy the journey. You can work at your business for 4 years and see no result, but that 5th year can blow everything up and change your life. Create healthy habits. Exercise, eat well, keep your work space tidy, hang around positive friends. The people you hang around with play a massive role on the person you are.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
I’ll never forget the evening I had my first experience of a fan coming up to me, taking pictures with me and telling me how I’ve changed their life. I’ve never felt more pumped up and happy in that moment more than any amount of money my business has generated. That felt like success to me. Seeing that I am inspiring people, changing lives. I know many millionaires who are unhappy People. Yes, they are well off and wealthy, but I don’t see that as successful. My dream car is an Audi R8. The day I purchased my dream car was a massive day and happy moment for me. But I’ll never forget how much I enjoyed working hard to achieve my dream car. My definition of success is not the mansions, cars and millions, but rather enjoying the journey of achieving those goals, happiness in your business and inspiring others along the way.
What’s next for you?
To keep going and continue my journey in creating content, growing my channel and keep inspiring others. My goal is to inspire 1 million followers on Youtube and scale to my first net worth of $1M with forex trading while having others trade with me on that journey. I want to diversify to properties and more business ventures in the future that I will be documenting on my Youtube channel.
