Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Featherstone.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I must say the honor is mine to still be sharing strategies for 20 years for folks to redesign their lives from the inside out and create a life of freedom and joy. What’s so exciting to watch is the evolution our lives take. Most of us have a clear picture or dream of what we want our life to look like. In many cases, our reality presents us with a very different view. This is where we choose how to respond to the unexpected. These choices can make or dampen our life experiences. Twenty-one years ago I was studying to become a Spiritual Practitioner when I encountered an emotionally debilitating experience, which knocked me off that path and created an opportunity to go within to uncover a new route to my peace. Sometimes we just don’t know where the road is leading us, but if you stay the course with intention and belief, your highest reward will manifest. As an Empowerment Coach for the last 20 years, I have worked with people from many different walks of life, including foster teen girls single women over 40, and even male prison inmates. I would never have guessed that those encounters would have led me to create a platform for women over 50 to reset their lives.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

What I like about that question is that we all have challenges in life. At some point, it doesn’t matter what the challenge is or how great it is. What matters is how we respond to it. When you are challenged, do you move through the challenge or do you throw in the towel? Like everyone, I have had life challenges that can throw a wrench in the mix and make you take a detour from your path or simply make you consider shutting everything down. However, I have to say the biggest challenges I have ever faced have been self-belief and worthiness.
Those are the two threats that at times, have snuck into my subconscious and laid low until I was ready to make a move. That’s when they would step in and try to keep me small or inactive. And from my experience, they can be powerful and quite convincing. Physical and emotional pain can slow me down or inspire me to work harder, but self-belief and worthiness can cancel the show.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I specialize in helping women over 50 redesign their lives from the inside out which creates a life of authenticity, freedom, and joy. This is accomplished by following my one-on-one individual or group coaching sessions, along with video classes, as well as my book, “Awesome Aging 101; Simple Tips For Living Well at 50, 60, 70, and Beyond.” Because our Awesome Aging program addresses so many different areas of our aging concerns, there are no competitors at this time.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I believe Authenticity, Integrity, and Self-worth are three simple keys to success in everything you do. Whether it is securing success in your business or assuring your clients get extraordinary results, maintaining these qualities can help guarantee longevity for your endeavors. Authenticity frees you to be who you are, rather than what is expected of you. That establishes a comfortable working environment for all involved. Integrity should be your calling card. When you are known for your integrity, you have repeat consumers of your goods. Without self-worth, you will continue to sabotage yourself. When you have self-worth, you have an unshakeable foundation.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success for me is making a comfortable living by making a positive impact on people’s lives by doing what I love. That’s a win-win situation.

What’s next for you?

More good juicy fun, which includes another book, more live workshops, and appearances as the Awesome Aging Community spreads.
