Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Rice.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I started off playing Division 1 college football. Played for about 3 semesters then had to start working full-time. I had always been in sales ever since I was old enough to work, so I hopped into sales roles. I sold everything from luxury gym memberships, personal training packages, oil, etc. Right before I started the journey into entrepreneurship I was working in Pharmaceutical Sales – crushing it. Then in March 2020, even being top 3 in the company of 100+ reps, I was laid off due to COVID. This forced me to jump full-time into entrepreneurship and I haven’t looked back since. I started Better Home Buyers in April 2020. Since then I have built the business into a 7 figure business in less than 2 years.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Where do I start? I started off with a partnership in which we both had different visions on where to take the company – ended that partnership after about 4 months of pouring time and effort into it. Had to start from scratch again. I had to build a business and brand up from scratch. I dealt with an employee stealing leads from the company. Multiple bad hires. Having to fire people that I enjoyed being around. Learning the nuances of Real Estate. Adjusting and pivoting with the Real Estate market as it changes. Oh yeah, and also having a baby along the way and trying to balance everything!

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

My company is Better Home Buyers. I have grown the company from $0 in 2020 to over $1.2M in 2022. We are a specialized Real Estate Investment company with a focus on off-market acquisitions. Our business is two-fold. We help homeowners get out of situations they may have originally felt “stuck” in. We help investors source amazing real estate investment opportunities. We are essentially a sales & marketing organization, and our product is the deals that we get on properties.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My best piece of advice for people who are trying to find success is determine what YOUR goals are. Its so easy to get caught up in the social media world on what we “should” be doing and what your goals “should” be. My advice would be to determine exactly what YOU want in life, then determine the path to get there. Have tunnel vision to get to that desired goal.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success for me means having the financial options to do what I want when I please with my family. Money buys us options, so my goal is to have as many options as I want at any given time.

What’s next for you?

Next for me is growing Better Home Buyers and also growing our podcast The REAL Impact. I am also going to be releasing educational courses and mentorship for people who are interested in learning to do exactly what I do! My goal with that is to create 100 multiple six-figure earners through the course and mentorship.
