It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Hello my name is Lisa Merritt, The creator of Alluring Faces Cosmetics. I am a professional makeup artist, from Miami Florida with a back ground in aesthetics, and have been since 1993. I have worked with many celebrities, television, fashion shows, music video and wedding through the years. Makeup has always been my passion, I love the power it gives one to transform. Alluring Faces Cosmetics was created from that passion, with a complete line that include vegan and cruelty free lipgloss, high pigment eyeshadow palettes, organic body shimmer oils and so much more.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Building a brand that is different. A brand that says natural beauty is okay, a brand that won’t scare normal women away. I believe underneath it all, a women no matter her age just wants to look pretty, elegant or sexy. I want our consumer to be comfortable wearing less makeup, understanding that it’s okay to want to look that way and still remain modern. I want them to release the fear of “nowaday” trends and the pressures of piling on layers and layers of makeup, which is not something that is done in everyday life. Our motto is that makeup is not for the entertainment of others, but to make you look feel good about you.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Its goes back to what the brand stands for, celebrating natural beauty of all ages. Our cosmetics are good quality products. Our body oils and glosses are made when ordered. We take pride in that and I am sure our customers would too. Having worked in skin care I believe that clean beauty is just as important as clean eating. Healthy products brings health skin.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Be an original. Following trends will only make you one or many. Being yourself puts you in a class all by yourself which makes you truly unique.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success to me means doing what I was created to do. Using and sharing that gift with the world and being true to oneself.
